Therapy Services
Therapy
Therapy is a personalized and deeply transformative process that helps you explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in a supportive and nonjudgmental setting. It’s an opportunity to better understand yourself, develop healthier coping strategies, and work through life challenges that may be impacting your overall well-being.
What to Expect
During therapy sessions, the focus is entirely on you and your unique experiences. I provide a safe space where you can speak openly and explore a wide range of topics, from immediate concerns to deeper, long-standing patterns. Together, we’ll identify what may be holding you back, process emotions that feel overwhelming, and create a pathway for healing and growth.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, past trauma, or simply seeking greater self-understanding, this is a space to feel seen, heard, and supported.
A Collaborative Process
Therapy is a collaborative journey designed to foster self-awareness, resilience, and lasting change. Whether you’re looking to heal from past wounds, reduce stress, navigate life transitions, or find greater meaning and fulfillment, we’ll work together to develop insights and strategies that support your well-being.
Sessions are tailored to meet you where you are, whether you’re seeking short-term support or longer-term personal growth. My goal is to offer a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you feel empowered to explore, heal, and create a life that aligns with your authentic self.
Areas of Focus
Below are some common issues I support clients with in therapy.
-
Trauma can leave lasting emotional and psychological imprints, affecting how you see yourself and interact with the world. Whether from childhood experiences, relationship abuse, or recent life events, unresolved trauma can manifest as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or difficulty trusting others and feeling safe in relationships or in your own body. Addressing trauma can help you regain a sense of safety, self-worth, and emotional resilience.
-
Anxiety can take many forms, from persistent worry and overthinking to physical symptoms like tension and fatigue. Learning to manage these feelings can help reduce overwhelm, foster a sense of inner calm, and improve your overall well-being. Together, we’ll explore strategies to identify underlying triggers and build coping skills to feel more centered and empowered in your daily life.
-
Difficulties with focus, organization, emotional regulation, and follow-through can lead to overwhelm, self-criticism, and burnout. Many adults with ADHD are highly capable and insightful, yet struggle with consistency, motivation, or managing daily demands. Therapy can support you in understanding how ADHD shows up in your life, developing strategies that work with your nervous system, and reducing shame around productivity and performance. The focus is on building self-compassion, clarity, and sustainable systems that support daily life.
-
Navigating major changes such as career shifts, relocations, breakups, or personal reinventions can be both exciting and disorienting. It’s common to feel lost, stuck, or uncertain during these times. Therapy can help you process your feelings, gain clarity, and reimagine your path forward with a renewed sense of purpose and identity.
-
Many people struggle with self-doubt, people-pleasing, or feeling “not enough.” Low self-esteem can keep you trapped in cycles of unhealthy relationships or prevent you from pursuing your true potential. This work involves reprogramming negative self-beliefs, cultivating self-compassion, and reconnecting with your inner strengths.
-
Relationship challenges often involve patterns such as people-pleasing, over-functioning, difficulty setting boundaries, or losing a sense of self in connection with others. These dynamics can show up in romantic partnerships, friendships, family relationships, or professional settings. I help you recognize these patterns, understand where they come from, and develop healthier ways of relating. This work supports clearer boundaries, stronger self-trust, and more balanced, fulfilling relationships across all areas of life.
-
Growing up in a dysfunctional or toxic family system can have a lasting impact on your sense of self, relationships, and emotional well-being. This may include experiences with narcissistic caregivers, emotional neglect, enmeshment, or chronic boundary violations. We can safely explore these dynamics, process their impact, and disentangle from roles rooted in guilt, obligation, or self-doubt. The focus is on helping you reclaim your autonomy, trust your reality, and move forward with greater clarity and emotional freedom.
-
Addiction and compulsive behaviors often develop as ways of coping with stress, emotional pain, or unmet needs. These patterns may involve substances or process-based behaviors such as food, technology, or social media. We’ll explore the underlying emotional and relational factors driving these behaviors, while building healthier coping strategies and greater self-awareness. The goal is to support lasting change through compassion, insight, and increased choice rather than shame or self-judgment.
-
Feeling stuck or unfulfilled in your career can be draining, especially when it conflicts with who you truly are. Career-focused therapy can help you realign with your passions, navigate professional challenges, and explore new paths that feel more meaningful. This work often involves exploring identity, values, leadership challenges, workplace dynamics, and redefining success beyond job titles or societal expectations, reconnecting you with a sense of purpose that feels authentic rather than externally driven.
Approach and Techniques
I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities to meet your specific needs, allowing us to create a personalized approach that addresses your mind, body, and emotional world. My work often blends depth-oriented therapy with practical, insight-driven guidance to support both emotional healing and real-world change.
Techniques include:
-
Helps identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors to support more balanced thinking and emotional responses.
-
Supports the nervous system in releasing the emotional charge associated with past experiences. EMDR can reduce reactivity, improve emotional regulation, and create new, more empowering ways of relating to memories that once felt overwhelming.
-
Focuses on building practical skills to help you navigate intense emotions, improve relationships, and cope with stress more effectively. DBT emphasizes emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness, and can be especially helpful for those who feel emotionally overwhelmed or self-critical.
-
Explores how early attachment experiences, relational patterns, and unconscious processes influence your present-day emotions, relationships, and sense of self.
-
Focus on the connection between body and mind to help release tension, reduce anxiety, and cultivate a greater sense of safety and regulation within your body.
-
Integrate mindfulness, guided visualization, and grounding exercises, with the understanding that meaningful healing involves the alignment of mind, body, and spirit.
-
In partnership with Journey Clinical, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy combines medically prescribed ketamine with therapy to help eligible clients access deeper insight, emotional flexibility, and sustained improvement in symptoms.
-
Parts work helps you understand and work with the different “parts” of yourself that hold emotions, beliefs, and protective strategies developed over time. Rather than trying to eliminate or override these parts, we approach them with curiosity and compassion, allowing for greater self-understanding, internal harmony, and lasting change. This approach can be especially helpful for trauma, inner conflict, self-criticism, and emotional overwhelm.
